The people in the magic town were busy working, well most of them. The town was full of apprentices doing work for their teacher. Most of the people running around were males. The females were in the gardens learning from their teachers whom were also female. The boys rarely spoke to the girls, because they were told they were only distractions and powerless. One boy was not paying attention to his work. He had on a torn shirt and patched up pants, and had brown hair and yellow-green eyes. His face had dirt on it. He was often mistaken for a sixteen-year-old, a Segan, although he is really fourteen, an apprentice. He was sitting on the garden wall secretly making the flowers wilt right before the teacher checked them. The girls were astonished and often tried to bring it back to life. As the flower tried to come back to life the boy cast a stronger spell making the flowers turn into a man-eating flowers.
“Melvin Stragatini! Get off that wall!” a voice from behind the boy yelled.
The boy got startled and fell forward into some fertilizer.
“Kai! You messed up my prank,” Melvin said while spitting some fertilizer out of his mouth.
Kai stepped through the wall and stood in front of Melvin. Kai was around the age of thirty and looked pretty strict. His cloths were green robes and he didn’t have any patience for this boy. He had been Melvin’s teacher for a few months and has taught him a lot of things, but Melvin always ended up losing focus and doing something to bug everyone.
“Serves you right boy, you know you were supposed to deliver the gift to Chaman thirty minutes ago. Have you delivered it?” Kai asked.
“Of course I did,” Melvin said as he stood up and wiped the fertilizer off his pants.
The chaos of the man-eating plant calmed down, because a man who appeared from nowhere turned the creature into stone. “Where have you been Von?” Kai questioned the man.
Von took off his hat and said, “I had to do some work on the outside.”
Kai looked puzzled for a second and then turned around and walked through the wall “Come on Melvin, you have a few more jobs to do before we go to the meeting.”
Melvin jumped over the wall and ran after Kai.

During the next two hours Melvin was punished for not coming back after delivering the gift. He was to work without magic, by scrubbing the town circle, putting up decorations and cooking the main course for the party that night.
“I thought we didn’t celebrate anything during this month,” Melvin mumbled as he scrubbed a pan.
“We usually don’t, but today’s an exception. The anniversary of magic town,” Kai replied after hearing Melvin’s remark.
“I thought the town was discovered in May not December?” Melvin asked.
“That’s a lie. Now that your in the apprentice level you can know the real reason,” Kai said.
“What about the home holidays?” Melvin questioned Kai.
“Just so parents can celebrate if they miss it, because of their children,” Kai sighed.
Melvin was about to ask another question, but remembered Kai didn’t answer more then three questions when he’s not teaching Melvin.
At the human town

Dani turned off the water and noticed it was strangely quite outside. She looked out the window and saw nobody playing, shopping or even talking.
“Strange,” Dani said and she grabbed the phone and called her mother.
When no one answered the phone Dani became confused, her mother always had her phone. She decided to go see her neighbor and best friend Ariel.
Dani knocked on the door, when there was no answer she took out her key for Ariel’s house and unlocked the door. She stepped into the living room, where only the television was on. Dani went upstairs into Ariel’s room. She walked in and saw Ariel sitting on her bed with her mouth open. She was solid stone.
Dani took a step back in surprise and looked at Ariel’s television. The news was on and the town, full of people, were frozen in stone were standing there, but next to the solidified mayor was a strange purple vortex, like in fantasy movies.
Dani quickly grabbed her bike from outside her house and went towards the town square.

At the magic town
Melvin ran towards the town square. He had fallen asleep at the river and the party had started ten minutes before he awoke.
“Great, I wonder what my punishment will be for not being there,” Melvin thought out loud.
* * *
Kai sighed, “That boy’s going to get me fired if he doesn’t get here before the mayor does.
People were appearing all over the town circle and they were soon seated and waiting for the mayor to speak. Kai rolled his eyes and sat down. Von appeared and sat next to Kai.
“I see your apprentice isn’t here, must be bugging the girls again. I’m glad I got Jeffrey for a student, he finished his term a long time ago and now works with Creature Control,” Von said.
Before Kai could say anything the mayor a tall skinny man with a really curly mustache appeared and said:
“Thank you for joining us in our town celebration today! At six our town will be officially one year older! We have our new apprentices and Von is going to say something he wants you all to know. Okay Von take it away.”
Von walked up to the center of the town circle and took the microphone.
“Thank you mayor. I’m going to begin right away. Today I was on the outside and I learned a few things. We use magic for things we could do without it, and for that reason I’m taking it away.”
Von took a red stone out of his robe and squeezed it a red barrier went around the town circle and the people inside started shaking and yelling in pain.
Melvin just came to the town circle, but he stopped when he saw the red barrier. Kai dragged himself towards him and said “Melvin get out of here, he’s taking our magic!”
Melvin not hearing him stepped into the barrier to get closer and hear him better. The second he stepped in a sear of pain went over him, he felt like something he had for a long part of his life was leaving and he’d never see it again. Kai pushed Melvin out of the barrier. Soon the barrier disappeared. Everyone in town had lost their magic, except Von and Melvin.

In the human town

Dani jumped off her bike and saw some man standing in front of the vortex. Dani frowned and knew the man was responsible. She ran and tackled the man and they flew into the portal.

Are you ready!

It's time for the first installment of A World Without Magic

This ones short and the others will be longer

On Demand

Want this story e-mailed to you when ever it's posted? Just comment and leave your e-mail and I'll send you this and a bunch of spam! Muhhhahaha

Here is the story (or some of it)

A World Without Magic
Part 1
A World Without Magic
Part 1
Let me tell you a story. A story about two worlds, that were so close, but so far away. First let’s start with the human town; a town that had many things humans have now. Everybody worked and did what they had to do to survive, but had leisure items like movies, video games, music, and other fun things. The town was actually more of a really small state. They had small towns in the large town the people called them siteos. In the siteos people had their houses and shops.
On the north of the land was some mountains called the Triniforous Mountains. They were one of the three mountain segments in the country. Rivers came from the mountains through the Carmous Forest and flowed to the ocean. The Carmous forest was not to be entered unless people owned a license, for it was covered with strange animals that were dangerous to even the strongest humans.
In the center to the town was the town square, which happened to be a circle. Where the people came every holiday or on town meeting days. The town meetings were held once a month, on the 20th. Everybody from every siteos came. Sometimes it took people three days to get to the town square. So after every meeting people had a grand feast. It was rare when they showed the meetings on television, because everyone came to the meetings. Only when there is an unexpected time were the people to see it on TV.
Across the country was another town, which seemed to be the exact same thing as the human town except the river flowed downwards from a different set of mountains called the Trinoforous Mountains and the town’s forest was called the Barmous Forest. * The only big difference was that other town had magic, unlike the human town and the magic town didn’t have movies, video games, and music, but instead had magic duels and other magic things.
They had a town square, which was a circle. People simply on the 20th of every month transported to the town circle and they had their meetings and then went back as soon as it was finished, this is because the magicians of magic town rarely celebrated anything.
Towns lived without any contact with the other, no new people came into the town and nobody left, but one day a man with a black cape and pointy hat came into the human town. He caused much confusion in the siteos, because everyone knew everyone else, because at the town meeting the town leader told who was born and who has died, and everybody met at the feast, or when the people of the town said what they had to say at the meetings. So every child was rushed home and everyone kept an eye out their windows and the other at the television to see when the unexpected town meeting was to be held about the unexpected man.
Everyone except a young girl around age fourteen who went by the name of Dani. She had black hair and green eyes. Her smile could make any boy fall to his knees. She was a nice girl who would rather help around the house then go to the mall and spend all her money on one pair of shoes. She did not know about the man, because she was inside all day and her television and radio were broken. She was just washing her dishes waiting for her parents to come home from work.
The strange man in the black cape and pointy hat seemed to walk through every siteos in a short time, even the ones below the town circle. Within a half an hour of his first sighting he was at the town circle, where a mob of confused people were waiting.
The town leader, a rather chubby woman who had big lips and a haircut that looked like a bunch of birds flew into, messed up, and set a nest in, quieted down the people before speaking into a microphone and said,
“As you most likely all know, we have a visitor today who will gladly answer five questions for us. He would like it if you held your trying to kill him until after he’s done speaking. Okay sir here is your questions: Where did you come from? Why are you here? How did you get through the forest? Where did you get that hat? I so want it for Halloween and do you think these pants make my butt look big?”
The man took the microphone and replied.
“First of all I am from the other side of Triniforous Mountains. I got this hat from this place called Old Davey. Yes your butt is huge. I came here by walking and I came here to destroy you!”
Before anyone could react he took out a grey rock and squeezed it. A grey flash flew from the stone. The light passed the people and they were turned into statues. The light was captured by the cameraman, which meant everybody at home was also turned to stone, everybody, but the young girl Dani.

*-The magic town faces the opposite way, like if you looked at a US map and rotated it so you see the Pacific Ocean in front of you and the Atlantic on the other side. Basically the magic town is from the Appalachian Mountains to the Atlantic and the human was from the Rocky Mountains to the Pacific. The rest of the country is in-between

Movies (Not Wii)

Okay time to shut up about Wii and not shut up about Eragon and Charlotte's Web.

Eragon (Era Gong) is about a 15-year-old boy who finds a blue polished stone in the forest. Soon it hatchs into a bab dragon (Saphira) and he soon learns that he is the last Dragon Rider, and must bring down the evil king Galbatorix. Ra'zac's beetle-bird-like monsters attack Eragons house and kills his uncle. With revenge in his heart he sets off with Brom a storyteller who knows alot about magic and dragons. And soon meets Ayra an elf-women whom stole the stone from the king. Now Eragon and Saphira must stop the kings evil reigh before the dragons become extinct and the land of Alagaesia is lost forever.

I reccomend you go see this movie, I know I will.

Everyone knows the story of Charlotte's Web, Wilbur a runt of the litter, is taken in by a young girl Fern. After getting to big he goes to the Zuckerman's farm. After meeting the animals, including the intelligent Charlotte, he learns that one day he will be butchered, and with the help of Charlotte and the other animals he might just survive.

I might see this, most likey but it on DVD. Also comes out December 15th.

Movies are like strawberries the good ones come only once or twice a year.

It's Daisy (and some other dogs)

Sunday I bought Sims 2: Pets and expansion pack to the fun game Sims 2. In the game you create a human in the age of toddler, child, teenager, adult, and/or elder. You can make a family of 8 and use genetics to make Sims. Then you can buy or make a house. Then you live through their life until they die (of disease or old age.) You can control their kids and/or grandkids. With the Pets expansion packs you can make Pets for the Sims. You can make a cat or dog using create-a-pet. Then you give them their genetics and collars, and then add their personality. The pets like the Sims can grow up and have offspring’s with their genes. You can teach your pet tricks, play with it, and even get them a job. I made Daisy, Gina, and Taz so far and they’re really accurate. Sadly the Sims 2 combined with the expansion pack will make the game really slow on many computers (Like my own.) I’ll add more info later.

There is a built in screenshot feature in the game so when I find out how it works I’ll show off Daisy and the other dogs.

Christmas is Coming

The commercials are invading! It must be near Christmas. I’ve seen about 10 new commercials today and commercials from last year playing again. Not only that, but the days are getting shorter. Only 11 days until the clock change, and fire detector test.

Talking Too Much

I just realized today’s my half-birthday yeah!

Today my G.A.T.E. (Gifted and talented Education) class has got its 100,000,000,000th lecture about how we are too loud. I’m surprised that after they split my class in half (again) the class is still huge and loud. I’ve discovered that we are one of the largest classes in school and we are the largest G.A.T.E class in the school since we entered 6th grade, two years ago. Well we were told to be quiet again and that we talk way too much. When will we ever learn?

My First Blog

This is my first blog and I will do much like my mother does, “Write about the random stuff that goes around in my head.”

Because this is all “random stuff” in my head. I’ll write about my crazy dreams.

Saturday night after staying up until midnight watching the boring Disney Halloween crap, I went to sleep and had two weird dreams. The first was about this blonde girl I’ve never seen before who was talking non-stop about stuff I wouldn’t know about. I think it was Daisy, my dog, in her human form like in Fluke the worst best family movie of 2003.

The second dream I had (which was after I went to sleep after the dogs woke me up at 6) was about this video game I haven’t played in years and Halloween together. Apparently, this guy named Ganon, an ugly elf-like creature, is locked up in this giant metal coffin. Townspeople are all around it as the coffin slowly moves forward. Then the mayor keeps pushing it back into the place. Ganon is an all-evil guy who takes over this land in just about every Legend of Zelda game. This guy’s locked up and dead. While this elf-like creature named Link, who’s riding his horse named Epona. Suddenly, this Ganon guy is in front of me and is on an ugly black horse and I’m far away on a mountain near this guy with this big sword and me with cardboard. Somehow, after a gruesome horseback sword fight he is flying right back into his coffin and I have a better big sword and I’m back in town.

So I saved the day, but then this scary guy’s voice says, “Our troubles are just beginning,” right as the coffin falls onto the ground.

So to avoid these crazy dreams I’ve decided:

No more Nilla Wafers® before bed.

“Dreams are crazy”~ Joe
